What is Copper?
Copper is an essential trace mineral that the body needs in very small amounts.
It occurs naturally in water, soil and in foods.
Copper-rich foods include shellfish, liver, nuts, seeds, whole grains, dark chocolate, legumes and leafy green vegetables.
This trace mineral  supports red blood cell formation, connective tissue, brain and nerve health, immunity, pigmentation and skin health.
Excess copper can be toxic, so supplementation should be approached with caution.
High zinc intake can cause copper deficiency as they both compete for absorption.
